Display Trivet

The Display Trivet collection explores the transition from a purely aesthetic art piece into an object of use and utility. 
The Display Trivet collection began as a ceramic wall art project, later evolving into a sculptural trivet. The original wall piece drew inspiration from grid structures and basket weaving. The trivet design combines the strictly uniform nature of grid structures with the lively, free expression of the ceramic material and applied technique. The result is a playful yet minimalistic piece that blends form and function. The Display Trivet offers a new perspective on home accessories and is designed to be cherished as a beautiful art piece in and of itself, rather than being hidden away when not in use.

The design process was highly exploratory, with various trials made to find the best shapes, sizes, and form expressions. Two different design directions were further developed: flat and woven structures.

To enhance its art-like expression, the trivet is hollow and can be easily hung on the wall in both portrait and landscape orientations, hence the name Display Trivet. It balances function and aesthetic appeal, while it can complete any space by adding essential elements of form, texture, and color.

Material: Glazed stoneware with rubber feet and holes on the back for mounting. Available in various sizes and colors.
